Amazingly effective product
I bought some of the Mirka sanding mesh to try refinishing some spindles in a 100 year old stair case. Its amazing how quickly the 80 grit cut through the old paint. Using a 12" or so piece of it, wrapped about half way around the spindle and then pulling the ends back and forth and the paint was gone in about half a minute, and the sanding mesh wasn't clogged in the least. I've since tried an array of the finer meshes and was extremely happy with the resulting finish. Works great either by hand or in a lathe, and the with the hand sanding block as well!
